Description
From the earliest echoes of my childhood, Hatcher Pass has been a cherished annual pilgrimage for my family and me—a tradition woven into the very fabric of our lives. Each visit is a homecoming, a return to the untamed beauty that first captured my imagination as a child.
On this particular journey, as I crossed the familiar bridge into the valley, a scene of timeless wonder unfolded before me. It was as if the river, with its tumbling rapids and scattered boulders, was greeting me—an old friend—with the same rushing waters and lush greenery that enchanted me in my youth.
The vibrant tableau of nature's continuous flow seemed to stand still just for me, beckoning me to capture its essence. I set up my camera, feeling a connection to the land that has grown deeper with each passing year. The shutter clicked, sealing a moment that speaks of continuity, the enduring bond between the land and those who love it, and the constant renewal found in nature's cycles.
This photograph is a tribute to those family excursions to Hatcher Pass—a testament to the timeless beauty that awaits at the threshold of the valley, welcoming all who return or visit anew.
