In the quiet of Girdwood's forests, I paused by a stump, an old sentinel of the woods. My eyes focused on the vibrant moss blanketing its rugged surface—a splash of green against the somber hues of decay. It whispered a tale of resilience and rebirth. As I knelt for a closer look, the forest hushed, time seemed to stand still, and for a moment, I found harmony with the tiny universe thriving quietly in the crook of that old tree's remains.
